As a few have said, I store mine under my butt most of the daytime

do you think it would be a good idea to put a vapor barrier down on the concrete (#15lb black roofing paper) and park your bike on that so moisture don't come up on the bike it is a cold damp garage

I store mine in the air on the jack under the CVO cover with the battery tender connected. keeps the tires from flat spotting.
I think Carpet might be better than tar paper

I don't think carpet makes much of a vapor barrier.  Heavy plastic sheeting would probably work best as a vapor barrier, if you really think you need it.

A dehumidifier would probably be a better idea. :nixweiss:

CVO's got heated grips, heated seat, good wind protection and I add a heated jacket liner and heated gloves - I'll ride with temps in the 30s.

Why park on plywood? Someone else said park on top of plywood on top of carpet...

I figure it's better than parking on the cold concrete. I suppose you could also put carpet on top, but I've always done this and have never gotten flat spot on my tires.

On the good side of living in California, I'll be riding all Winter.  The bad news is that I pay more for energy, pay higher taxes, contend with more stupid legislators and laws, and live with an idiot populace that continues to vote themselves pay raises.
At least I can get some "highway therapy" to help me deal with it.

Just change the oil, add fuel stabailzer and park it in the living room with a battery tender hooked up. Not too many nice winter days to ride here in Nova Scotia. Tons and tons of salt on the roads too. Pretty much put it away from december until April.
