Rode south about 100 miles, mostly along the lakeshore. More stunning scenery, rolling hills, beautiful bays, waterfalls and inland lakes. Even saw a wolf run across the road. We would go up hills into little fog patches and the windshields and visors would immediately fog up. My heated gear was not working properly. I found out later the polarity was reversed causing the temp to stay permanently on high! Actually burned my knuckles, blisters cropped up the next day.
When we were nearly out of gas, we stumbled upon our next surprise attraction, the Agawa Indian store. We stopped for gas as it was the only open station for 100 miles and were pleasantly surprised to find 3 stores that amounted to Ontario's version of Wall Drug. Ray got some hot coffee and I got my wife a pair of mukluks for the cold Minnesota winter to come. If you take this trip, you really have to stop by this place for a visit. They have a wood carving store that has some amazing pieces! Well worth the time ( and $'s) spent!
