Texas has enormous talent with minimal egos. Lee versus Lincecum will prove a great pitching duel but I think Hamilton will break up the party; he's put up stellar numbers and this year has really shown his talent. Texas definitely has an advantage with Molina from a scouting position. Molina really molded Lincecum during his first years with the Giants and will have a lot to say about how they'll be pitched to. This will be an interesting series.
I'm rooting for Texas simply because they've played exceptionally well this year, have shown themselves to be a cohesive team and have earned every win. The Giants have been to the big show a few times now and have some players who have been there in recent years. They're good but I think Texas will take the series in 6.
I'm sure, like in some years past, this will be a ratings dog. The WS games that don't involve an East Coast team don't get the ratings (I watch them all; big baseball fan!). Plus Cablevision is fighting with Fox so even if they wanted to see the games, a lot of East Coast folks might not be able to.
