4" Rinehart slipons for '10 FLHXSE
« on: October 24, 2010, 09:17:38 AM »

Will the new 4" slipons fit on the Screaming Eagle Street Glide with the extended bags? I have the regular Rineharts but think the new 4" will fill the gap more if they fit.

Do you have to do anything else to the bike when you put on the 4" Rineharts? I have a 10 SESG spiced rum and am looking to put some pipes on it this winter. Love the sound of the Rineharts. Just wondering what else I will have to do so the bike runs right. Thanks.

The 2 1/2" baffels are the performance baffels which are louder and deeper ( i guess) which is what i am looking for, But Rhinehart said with the 2 1/2" you will lose some low end (tq)  even with a tuner, What do you think? :nixweiss:

Just putting in my 2 cents worth.
I have the fullsac X-pipe, Rinehart 4" mufflers with the 2 1/2" baffles and running the SE Super Tuner. It took quite a few rides and data recordings to get a good tune but I am very happy with the way my bike runs. It has good throttle response off of idle and pulls strong through the whole RPM range. I get an average fuel economy of 42MPG. No exhaust smell. The noise level from the mufflers is not to loud when riding on the hwy. Can talk to my wife with no problems hearing. Can hear the radio just fine also. The mufflers will definitely get loud when you crank open the throttle. I have 20,000 miles on her and still running great.
Note: I did try true dual head pipes and 3 different sets of mufflers (BUB7, V&H Hi-Output, Rinehart's) before I found the sound I liked and the low end power that I was looking for.

Were the V&H high outputs louder or lower than the reinhardts?

They had a little deeper sound and much louder. Made a droan sound in my ears while riding at hwy speeds. Had a good sound but just not what I was looking for.

I wonder if the X-pipe helps on the low end, I have been told it almost like having a 2 into 1, my scoot is a 07 so i would have to run true duals.

Thanks...but I just got the '11 and I am deciding if I should put the exhaust from the '10 on it or change something.....right now I just put the V&H basic slip ons back on and I am waiting until the colder weather to do the headpipe and the tuner. When I traded in the '10 I took everything off that would fit on the new one.

The X pipe will give you better low end than a true dual setup.

What did you trade for Street Glide?
