Locking leg fairing glove boxes
« on: May 08, 2004, 02:25:12 AM »

I told you guys about these awhile back.  Designed by a guy up in Canada who happens to own a SEEG.  He's from another site but will be posting here soon.  He's finishing up with something else that he's designing for the SEEG, but I'll let him tell you all about that.

There were only ten sets of these and thow they're pricey, I think all ten sets went, the first day that he posted.  Here they are.....

Hi, this is my first post on your forum.  Thanks JCZ for the referral to the site, for your help, & for posting the lockable lowers thread, which by the way look great on your bike.  I had designed them at the request of some forum members on another site.  As JCZ has stated I only had 10 sets made of which one was for myself.  They were originally designed for a 2003 Ultra and then redesigned with improvements when I bought my SEEG.
When I had them made they were all spoken for but due to an unforeseen problem some of the sets are now available.  Neither myself or the other forum members who wanted these, realized that H/D have 2 versions of glove box.  They made a change sometime through the 2002 model year to the newer style glove box for which these covers were designed.  The covers will not fit properly to the old style glove box.  Over half of the members who wanted them have the old style glove box, of which a couple have decided to replace their old style with new style glove boxes that are compatible with the covers.   A few have decided to pass and the rest of them are still undecided & I have agreed to wait a few more days before making them available elsewhere.  I had promised JCZ that I would make them available here first before posting elsewhere.
So for now I have 3 sets available for anyone who wants them.  If you are interested PM me and I will send you the prices and payment info.  I designed them but had them made by a fabricator. Please understand, I am not a manufacturer or a retailer and had offered them for exactly what they cost as a favor to the forum members who have helped me over the years.  An additional 2 sets may become available once I hear back from the undecided.  Feel free to ask JCZ what he thinks of his.
Thanks

I'll let you guys know that they're $250 a pair.  You should either PM or email Darrell if you want a pair.  I know that he's already sold one pair to AK, from this site, today.
