squeeky Lyndall brakes
« on: November 14, 2010, 10:14:56 PM »

I have had Lyndall brakes before..  but these pads happen to be very squeely.. The rear set especially..  Any ideas why?  I am thinking that i should just replace the rear,  but they are not that old.. I'm up for suggestions. I am using the Z Pad Plus..

I have the same problem with the rear. The front whir when I'm stopping but that's not an issue.

I do not pretend to be any kind of expert,  so don't slam me if it turns out i don't know what I'm talking about.  ;D

I run the Lyndall pads like the rest of you.  I had some squeaks that i didn't expect following the pad upgrade.   What i found to be the cause of my squeaks was not the pad on the rotor, but the contact points of the spring tensioner up inside the caliper.   I cleaned and lubed the tensioner, slide pins and my squeaks went away.
