Well I guess it depends on your preference and riding style, if you can afford it I would say do em both.

after riding a bagger it would be hard to rely on a softtail for your primary ride. ;D both would be nice. nuf cash will cure anything in this dept. :drink:

Good choice.  I have a 2006 in yellow/blue and think it is the best looking CVO

I traded my 2001 FLHTRSE2 for a Fatboy in '07, big mistake! I hated the Fatboy.  Sold it after a year and 800 miles.  Now I have a 2010 FLHXSE, Happy once again.

I'd hold on to what you have for now.  Isn't it getting about time for another Fatboy CVO to come around again?  I don't think you mentioned what kind of mileage or the price you were paying for the Fatboy though.  That could be a consideration.  I was looking at buying one a month or so ago, but as a 2nd bike.  I don't think they are as comfortable for long rides and there's no storage without messing with the look of the bike.

I waited couple of years for a  new SE Fatboy, thinking it was due.  But when the convertible came out I bought the nicest 06 I could find.  I figured the convertible was built instead of a new fatboy.  I couldn't make myself like the convertible.
