Solar battery charger for winter storage

A buddy will be storing his bike for the winter in a building a couple hundred yards from a power source. He'd like to leave the battery in it for the occasional ride. Just wondering if anyone has used the above solar charger to maintain their battery...and how well it worked?

That charger looks exactly like I got from our local marine store. If it is the same it is not weatherproof.
Although the one listed states that it is weatherproof.

Cheap solar chargers have varying outputs, from not enough to too high. Only way to find out is give it a try.

As long as you are starting out with a charged battery it should work.
