I searched the board and found a dupont paint number for this paint. My paint guy had the paint mixed and sprayed my saddlebag and lid but the pearl dont match up. The red and green in the paint didnt flip/flop like the factory paint. He took it back for the paint store and they messed with it for about 2 days before saying they cant match it.  I went to Greensboro Harley (my local shop) today and told me it could not be ordered I would have to buy the painted pieces and that was the only way I could get a match. I had a little mishap with a saddlebag fallen off the bike at about 50-mph and sliding to a stop- lucky I guess if you can say that it only scratched up the to lid and bottom of my bag. Do you guys have any idea were I could get 1-pint of this paint? The yellow matched just not the pearl in it. Any help will greatly be appreciated I'm out of options.

Call Jenny and have her do a dealer search. She might locate an already painted lid for you. She found me a 2000 orginal SERG fairing once.

Try paintbygene.com. I doubt they will sell you the paint, but their work is awesome.

I'll try the web sight- the problem is I've already had the bag + Lid repaired and painted- It wouldnt take much of the right paint to finnish it up. Thanks guy's.

Might try paint by Gene out on the west coast.  A lot of guys have had him match paint / bags and even painted fairings.

Thanks Guy's, I sent a P.M. to Don iselbulls on this sight. I understand he just had some paint mixed for a Banana bike and hopefully he can give me the codes or someone who will sell just the paint. I hate to risk shipping a saddlebag and lid- looks like its no easy task getting one matched up here locally.

Shipping shouldn't be a big deal. Just call a couple of H-D dealerships and ask them if they've had to order a saddlebag for anyone recently. The box will be a perfect fit and should have a sleeve for the lid as well as bubblepacks etc. Never had any issues shipping saddlebags. The bitch is when you have to ship a fairing. No way to wrap those suckers properly. And the box for either an EG or RG ? Fughedaboutit. UPS will charge you over $100 due to the size.

My painter contacted the PPG dealer and they said it would be no problem to mix, I'm waiting for him to pick the paint up and spray. I will give you an update when I get it back. Thank you again for taking time to help out.

This is the correct paint code it matched perfect. Thanks Don for providing the information.

I just had my fender and a saddlebag lid repainted.  The painter matched everything perfectly.  I gave him the gold stripe #'s from Don's listing of codes for his Cherry.  The pinstripe guy came in special to do those but didn't leave the codes for the orange pinstripes.

My painter said that the yellow is a dead on match to Mazda A4J   The flake is a PPG 908413/2

Worse thing was applying the clear over it all.  Apparently the clear that HD uses doesn't adhere very well and doesn't feather back.  Also, any slight nick will amplify 100 times over.....Make them sand the whole piece down!!
