Good sale, guess I need to bone up a bit on some of this stuff.

I did want to mention that on my 07, I had to have the H-D dealer "flash" the radio in order to run rear speaker pods on the tour-pak. What that means is the unit needs to be programmed to run the rear speakers. It will not power them up if this isn't done. Was that the case with the radio this thread is about as well ? I ask because didn't H-D basically go to the same radio that is being discussed here as the stock production model (non CVO) in 06 and beyond ?

No Brian, the radio asked about here doesn't even have a rear out.  Just the amplified front outs (that use an amplifier that's pretty lame).

I thought it was a great radio while i had it installed. When combined with hogtune speakers,  It sounded better than the stock advanced 20 watt radio.  yes,  only two channel,  but nice clean loud good radio for the SEEG. IMHO.

I would still be using that radio had i not been inspired by Twolaner to upgrade with the Harley advanced radio and that has been a very costly but satisfying adventure.    I have to give Twolaner a thumbs up for that pioneering can do attitude.    

Thats what is great about this site.  Lots of knowledge and someone is always doing what someone else says cant be done!
