Flhtcuse6 and ipod connected.
« on: November 23, 2010, 11:37:55 AM »

Hello with all,

I soon will receive my CVO FLHTCUSE6. (approximately 2 weeks)
I have an question:

is it possible to connect a ipod directly on the radio with the orders of control of Ipod to the handlebar and the posting of the titles on the screen of the radio?

If it is possible, the GPS remains connected like origin and always functions with the radio?

Thank you for your information and sorry for my English.

Good evening with all.

I do not know that but the GPS MP3 functions well using the controls on the GPS. With mine I do have to connect to the Aux port, no big deal. I like loading music on the GPS one less device I need to keep track of. I did use an Ipod before I figured out how to place tunes on the GPS. There is an icon on the map that quick links to the music player when its playing just like the phone bluetooth.

Crypto, if I'm reading your questions correctly, no, if you connect the iPod directly to the radio using the Aux input, then the only handlebar control you'll have is volume.  If you buy the optional iPod interface kit from your dealer, you'll be able to use your handlebar controls to control the song lists, volume, and the music title will show up on the display, plus you'll have the mounting pouch in your right saddle bag lid.  The Zumo will function normally with the HD iPod interface and you'll hear the directions over whatever source of music (radio, iPod, etc) your listening to.

Thank you very much for your answer.

I will order the Ipod interface in my salesman to install it as of his delivery.

Good road!
