Should there be a moulding here?
« on: November 23, 2010, 08:24:36 PM »

Just covered up the SERG for hibernation, and noticed a gap at the joint of the fairing under the windshield (see pics).

Is this normal, or should the rubber moulding under the windshield continue on to cover up this joint?

Looks like it's sliding down or shrinking. Mine loosened up from the heat this summer. Replaced it. :2vrolijk_21:

What's shrinking- the moulding? You can see where the moulding ends, then the rest of the seam is uncovered.

I'm not 100% sure but I think it might be the way that the Klockworks fit.   :nixweiss:

There is no moulding between the fairing halves, behind the windshield area.   That black portion of the windshield should rise in a curve to cover that seamed area...  not sure why the black from the windshield doesn't cover it.

Nothing wrong, that is the way it is made. Normally the windshield will have a black band in this area that curves, yours doesn't so it shows.

Usually the windshield has foam strip to seal this area. At least Clearview uses foam.

They should probably have put something there- water must be getting in there when I wash it.

Thanks guys.
