Welcome to the forum.
I spend some time in Utrecht and Leiden each summer. I'll get in touch this summer, maybe we can lay down a few miles - er Km's - together.

that's nice; I was born in Utrecht, lived there about 30 years, now I live in The Hague and my garage with my classic cars and bikes is near Leiden, so let me know when you come to us and we will meet!

Welcome, Anyone who rides American iron in Europe is alright by me!

Many years ago I was stationed in Germany with the US Air Force and visited your beautiful country a few times.  Visited the beach at Den Haag on a warm summer day once, the scenery was something I will never forget.

I recently bought a 2004 CVO Electra Glide, how do you like that Screamin Eagle 103 motor?

That beach in Den Haag is almost in my backyard!
You live in Fort Worth? we were in the Stockyard Hotel in Fort Worth last september, also visited the rodeo show in the historic centre; than we went to Texarkana and Joplin to pick up the Historic 66 westbound to California

How do I like the 103 SE motor? well, I don't know, I just bought the bike and a day later it started freezing and snowing in Holland so I have to wait.....But the few miles I tested the bike were ok; I had a 2008 Dyna Glide Super Custom with racetuner but the 103 SE feels better: where the Dyna stops revving up, the SERK goes on; I also like 5 speed better than 6 speed

Actually I live in a little town just west of Fort Worth, but no one knows where "Azle" is.  8)

It sounds like you had a good time.  In 2008 I did a trip to Arizona and southern Utah with some friends. One night we stayed at the Wigwam motel in Holbrook, Arizona. You might remember it?  Have you seen the kids movie CARS?  If you liked Route 66 you would probably enjoy this movie.

I absolutely love the SE 103 motor in my Electra Glide.  It's funny that you mention liking the 5 speed better than the 6 speed, I feel the same way.

Yes Jim, we had a wonderfull time; we picked up the 66 from Carthage (in a rented Jeep Grand Cherokee 2011) and followed the earlier and later tracks up to Winslow, than south to Phoenix to stay a few days in the beautifull Biltmore Hotel, than north to Flagstaff where I picked up a Harley Softail Heritage to end in Mexican Hat (best steaks of the US!); then we split: my wife did a horseback trail in Monument Valley and I did a trip on the Softail around Mon.Val., to Moab, Richfield, Bryce, Zion, North Rim, Page back to Mexican Hat to pick up the lady; then back to Flagstaff, Kingsman, Las Vegas, Death Valley, San Francisco; nice month, 6500 mls in the Jeep, 2000 on the Softail and 150 on horseback.....
