2011 roadglide ultra cvo tour pack
« on: November 30, 2010, 10:03:11 PM »

Just picked up my new fltruse and noticed the embroidery on the back rest on the tourpak is for electra glide it is painted the roadglide color but speakers are not as shown in the brochures and the bass vents are not in the tour pack was wondering if anyone knows if the amplifier on the electra glide is the same ?? I read in the Hog magazine the RG should be 100 w and the electra is only 40 w

Here's a picture of a red FLHTRUSE:

Don't know about the bass port; you can check the part no. on the amp.  If it ends in -06B, that's the correct one IIRC.

You're welcome.  Wondering if MOCO is having some labor-related snafus.  My local dealer received a Root Beer EG Limited and it had an HDI (export) tour pak on it--no light bar on the rear; just a "Harley Davidson" decal instead.

My local dealer has a charcoal slate FLTRUSE on the floor; I'm curious about the bass port.

Hope you get your problem resolved quickly.

kiwihog,
the bass ports are not OEM on the FLTRUSE, purchased separately and download required to the amplifier.

Correct...not standard on the RUSE.  They'll cost you about $60 and 3 hours of labor to have them installed.

You guys are awesome thanks for all the help I drove 200 mile round trip to Modesto Harley in California today  :) to check the CVORG they have  lol good reason for a road trip huh?? and it was just as you said . I guess the one I saw in Morgan Hill was a dealer installed extra probably why it was marked up $5000 over MSRP
During the road trip experiencing a problem with the intercom system cutting in and out often unable to hear any thing at cruising speed and when slowing down getting blasted by full volume for a second then almost no sound over and over sounding like a short or wire/plug not connecting right tried running with just the speakers and no problem there anyone else experiencing similar situation???

do these bass ports fit any  King TP with speakers? If so, what's the part #?  The only bass ports my dealer is aware of cost way more than $60.

This will prob continue to happen to CVOs now that they are made on the reg. assembly line.

Agree Rick.  The MoCo's quality control was not stellar to begin with and by moving the CVOs to the main assembly line is making it more obvious.  When you have non-CVO parts showing up on CVOs, wrong fenders being put on, etc, the MoCo needs to get it's collective act together.  They're making less vehicles now, so their QC should be better, not worse.  I guess maybe they're looking at this as you're getting a true factory custom when you get mix and match parts put on it.   :nervous:

Sounds like you have the VOX sensitivity set too high - wind noise, road noise or radio itself most likely tripping the VOX and activating the intercom.
