I believe this is a great site because it brings an eclectic group of for the most part faceless people (except that sexy one to the left, ahh caught ya lookin)with the same love, their HD.I love the fact that you can forge new relationships with people you may have never had the chance to meet. We could always have a 'censored' forum....but most of us are from the US, where freedom of speech is still in effect, and the Euro's here are down with what ever we do, The Canadians would never be a problem as they dont want the US to raise the rent on their country.

Good posts providing good information for the members here are what this site is really all about. Bitchin' about out problems or issues with the bikes and or the dealerships goes on here and will continue to do so as this is a place where we can come to vent our frustrations about the issues. But at the end of the day the good info shared here far outweights the other issues.

This site is not a public speaking forum where anyone can say anything that they want. It is privately owned and operated by a single individual and the rules for posting here must be adhered to. We've been down this road before, too many times, Freedom of speech is allowed as long as it follows the guidelines for posting.

So I say Ride Free, and Post Free (within the guidlines).

HD-DUDE..... Well put. With freedom comes responsibility. All of us here ride and I believe in helping a brother, not hurting him (or her). Opinions can and will differ but as long as they are posted with respect for the other persons opinion, all is well. This is a great site and I enjoy it daily. See ya at Cripple Creek!  [smiley=xyxthumbs.gif]

As has been stated this is a great site. I don't belong to any other Harley forums, and to tell the truth I don't want to belong to any other.

So far everyone I've met here feels like family, and I look forward to seeing what has been posted, what is going on in other member lives, what they are doing with there bikes, where they are riding to, etc, etc. There have been times that I had started to make a post, then thought about it, and read it back to myself only to decide that maybe my post would not be received as I had intended it to, and decided not to make that post.

As for the guidelines from what I understand posting here has some of the more relaxed guidelines then other forums. I've been told that at other places if you drift off topic (like I/We so often do) then your posts are deleted, and we don't have that here. As long as the posts are PG rated, not offensive, not vulgar, and not deliberate attempts to stir up anger we have the freedom to post what we want. It has been said before coming here (IMHO) is like being in the garage working on your bike with a bunch of friends over. Just imagine how a conversation can drift if you had several hundred people in your garage as you were working on your bike, could you really stay on one topic w/o drifting a little? [smiley=nixweiss.gif]

Bottom line is enjoy the site, treat people as you want to be treated and things should be fine. I know it's not a perfect world, and there will be some that have strong opinions and disagree with one another, just don't loose respect for one another.

Just remember we all share the same passion for riding. [smiley=xyxthumbs.gif]
