York - CVO tour
« on: March 28, 2006, 11:08:03 PM »

I did a trip out to York today for a dealer sponsored tour. Dealer sponsored tour means you get to see the CVO side (between November and April) after the regular production side of the plant.

I talked to the guy in charge of tours about maybe doing a group thing with our CVO club here, he told me they will only do CVO with a dealer sponsored group, and then only in the above listed time frame.

Thought it would be cool if we could arrange a Monday tour, that way everyone could ride out on a Sunday, get their room, eat and then go cruising through Lancaster. This way we wouldn't have to deal with morning traffic.

Oh well, I tried. I do possibly have one other connection that I am waiting on. Maybe we'll get lucky again.

Good luck w/ pulling it together. Our little CVO group got to go through last year. Don't know what strings were pulled but it was pretty neat.  [smiley=xyxthumbs.gif]

Yeah, I toured the York plant last year and they basically told me the same thing.  It had to be a dealer event :(

Ok, the person we were sent to at the York facility is out until April 3rd, so this gives us a chance to see when folks would like to go, and about how many folks we'll have.  They do this thru April so we have the 8th, 15th and 22nd for saturdays.........any preferences??

I'm interested. The 8th, and 15th don't personally work for me because of work. I'll keep watching this thread.

If anyone is interested in a Zippers tour let me know. As soon as we have a date for the CVO tour I will try to fit it in the same day. Zippers is about an hour or so from the factory I think so it could be done on the same day.

Count PJ57 in on any of the April dates.  Zippers side trip might be too tempting to spend massive $$$, but a good idea.
