Exhaust Change Question
« on: December 11, 2010, 07:08:00 AM »

2010 Black CVO with Fullsac X pipe,Bub Stealth 7 Series and PC5. Bike was dynoed and runs great but after 4k miles I'm not crazy about the Bub's sound. Considering the Fullsac 2.0 cores. Would I need to have the bike dynoed again if I swap out the mufflers? Thanks

I was just wondering what don't you like about the sound of the Bub's. Too loud? too quiet? Tone? I have the 2.25" Fullsac's and altough they sound good and 100 percent better than stock baffles, they were not as loud and as deep toned as I thought they would be. But I don't want to spend $ experimenting right now. I am no expert but I would see no need to dyno again unless you just want to see if the numbers change. Others on here will know more about the dyno thing and I know will advise accordingly.

The Stealth Series are stamped EPA but these pipes are loud to me under load and traveling at 70mph or more.

Its easy to make em louder.  Get some heat wrap and block half the louvers.
Continue blocking or unblocking louvers until you get what you like. Block them all and you will have drag pipes.
Removing the packing will sharpen the tone too.
