Corbin Seat and passenger back rest pics
« on: December 12, 2010, 07:03:20 AM »

A first for me.  Pics first before words.

My passenger back rest arrived a few days ago and boy what a mod for $150 - makes my lady very happy

My thoughts:

The stock seat is pants.  For the money I've already put into the bike, the Corbin is one of the best mods ever.  Great comfort, great looks, solid and reliable - just look at the quality of the leather vs stock vinyl and where the seat meets the tank - no better fit.

Expensive?  Yes?  Worth every cent?  Yes.  Recommended mod and this comes from a man in the UK where we pay 50% more for the same product.

Cheers

I'm thinking about the same seat and back rest. Will the stealth rack fit with this seat?

No, the stealth rack will not fit behind the Corbin.

So which Corbin is this? Is it a 2 piece seat? Did you get it custom made or is it off the shelf? Looks great!!

I'd read somewhere (here or on corbin site) that Corbin have now realised they made a mistake with the stealth and some other racks and it's now not an issue as they have reduced the rear of the passenger accordingly.   Worth a check.

As I recall this is the classic solo and separate passenger with the std passenger back rest.  From what I can remember there are two types of passenger seat - this is the bigger of the two.

Oh, the wonderful world of Corbin.  Maybe a call to HD Dude?

It looks great but at 6'2" and 270 lbs stock HD seat suck. 2 hours and the butt is numb. Need some support, but something that looks good.

BigLew - fully agree.  The stock seat lasted 800 miles and then threw it away.   I'm 6'5" and 230lbs.  Best seat ever IMO.  900 miles in a day completed with no issues.

LD,

900 in one day...now that's some serious riding!  :bananarock:

That would take me a whole 3 day weekend between gas and beer stops.  :drink:
