Adding a heater to a seat
« on: December 14, 2010, 01:32:42 PM »

I am curious if anyone has added a heating element to their vehicle. Would you cut out a piece of foam twice as thick as the element and then put back a small piece of foam over the element?

thinking of this for both the truck[Ford E350] and bike[Corbin Seat] http://www.heatdemons.com/SEAT-HEATERS_c_75.html

Have done it three times in automotive seats Brian.  Different elements two of the three times.  Each had specific instructions for padding, how much padding, etc etc etc.  So best advice would be to follow whatever instructions come with the element you select.

I'll have to find the name Brian.  Will post it up or give a call when I do.
