We are in the process of installing the Harley auxillary passing lamps on my 2011 Street Glide CVO and are having a hard time locating a place to get power. Has anyone installed these and run in to this? Where did you end up drawing power from? My poor bike just lacks connecting up the black and grey wire from the lamps to be able to reassemble everything.....got all the rest of my mods done! (Bike is in pieces on the floor, no tank, no bags, no fairing:-(   If anyone could help, my dad would appreciate it!  (it's like they just left out a page in the instruction, but we had all 5 pages)

Run it off your accessory switch power in side.

I've already got the spot light switch installed and wires run to slots 6,7,and 8.  Just need to know where to draw power from and where to run the grey/black wires from bulbs to.

I guess you noticed the factory wire harness does not have wires for the 6,7,8 positioned wired. You have to make that part yourself. The place I got power was the yellow wire going to the headlight. For whatever reason, the CVO Street Glide is not wired the same as the regular Street Glide. They left off the aux light wires. If you have a HD manual and the CVO supplement you will see the factory wiring harness' are different. No idea why they did that.

It's one my dad got from Harbor Freigtht.  It clamps the front wheel then we just use a couple tie downs to secure it. I can get the info if you need it.

Got the HD passing lamps installed and working. Dad said don't ever ask him to take off the front fairing cover as using the new passing lamp mounts rather than the light bar has put them in the way of taking it off. He had to unscrew them and let them hang while reinstalling the fairing. Oh well, I think I got everything done I wanted. ::)

I wonder what's different on yours? Mine does not require me to do anything with the aux lights to remove the outer fairing (although I cover them with socks to prevent scuffing of the paint or chrome).

Hello Kridley,

I have the same 2011 CVO Street Glide in Australia.  The side mount CVO driving lights you show are now called "Obsolete" by Harley, and no longer produced, and not available in Australia. :nixweiss:

How do you think the Ultra Glide normal ones would look with the chrome cross over bar under the headlight???  I could add the bullet indicators under the stock Ultra Glide Passing lights..  Would they fit?  I think it is the same fairing as the 2011 Ultra Classic Electroglide, so it is only the looks of the chrome bar under the headlight.  Did you think of that or see one?

I have found a CVO set like yours, but it would take a month, they say 13 working days plus freight to get them...   :soapbox: :soapbox:

Should I wait, or do you think the Ultra Glide cross over bar would look OK on the FLHXSE2??

Any opinions welcome.. My own opinion is I wonder against the orange...  :-\  It need the lower fork cover and upper slider covers in chrome to get away with it IMO...  Any opinions or picture of them would be a great help.

Best regards from Australia, Cowboy 2

That stinks that you can't get them in Australia but they still show as available here in the states (69818-06). These are not specific to the CVO. They fit 06 and later Street Glides according to HD. I wonder why HD stopped selling them outside the states?

As far as spotlights go.....Headwinds makes a small 2" spotlight that looks real nice on the SE Street Glide (somebody on this forum has them).  They don't dominate the front end of the Street Glide like the HD sport lights do.

Kuryakn also makes a similar spot light/turn signal....   http://www.kuryakyn.com/Products/3964/LED-Headlamp-Passing-Lamps
