Most of my new bike arrived at the dealer today
« on: December 21, 2010, 01:46:22 PM »

I'm new to CVO's.  My new bike arrived at the dealer today, but they said the originating dealer didn't put everything in the bike when it shipped.  So, not knowing everything I'm supposed to get with a brand new FLHTCUSE6, how can I make sure I get what I'm entitled to?  I know there's supposed to be a gold key and a cover.  Anything else?   Is there a checklist of items somewhere?

Our 2011 SEUC was delivered on the 26th of November and the windshield was missing. The dealer had one in stock and replaced it instantly. The items that come with the bike are, a leather box with the "gold key" which is actually a brass key, the garmin zumo navigator in a box with all accessory's, a soft bike cover with a CVO logo, DeLuxe three piece set of bags with cvo logo, in all cases are soft liners, a box with a microfibre detailing cloth, a tin with leather treatment, a cd explaining the ABS system and a small tool pouch for as far I can recall.

Read this thread for a list of items received by another member.  Quite a bit more than just a gold (brass) key and dust cover.  http://www.cvoharley.com/smf/index.php?topic=57311.0

Your dealer should have a complete list that he can copy and share with you.  Based on your post, I'm guessing this was a dealer transfer transaction.  Don't let your dealer use that as an excuse to stiff you on all the items that are included from H-D with this bike.  If the dealer won't give you a copy of the list from H-D, I recommend you contact Harley directly and make certain you get everything.

That was for the CVO RG Ultra - don't think the E-Glide comes with the iPod - only the RG gets that I think.

Here is a scan of the features and specs page from the CVO brochure for the CUSE6.

Yes it was a dealer transfer transaction.  I have no reason to think they are going to stiff me out of anything, but I want to be sure.  They have been great to work with so far, unlike some of the other dealers around here.  They said the other dealer confirmed that they have the missing items and will send them asap.

That's great!  Is that available online?  I hadn't seen that before.  However, the gold key and dust cover aren't mentioned in the brochure.  I wonder why?

What is mentioned is an amplifier. So, is there an amp included on the flhtcuse6?  I thought only the Road Glide got the amp.

How much lower is the windshield than the standard Ultra windshield?

That is in the printed CVO brochure.  Perhaps your dealer may have one available.  The CUSE6 does get the 40w amp I think - the RG gets the 80w amp set up for the BOOM speakers.  Amp is mounted under the rack the tour pak is bolted to.
