The Fatboy is her second bike, she learned on my Honda PC800 and my RoadKing but had her heart set on a Fatboy. To start out we got her a Yamaha Vstar that was a good lil scooter, only a 650 but very similar dimensions as a fatboy and a better bike I felt for her to learn on than a Sportster IMHO. Anyhow that lasted one seasonand she had the fever and we hunted down a great deal up in Canada and snatched it. That was a few years ago and she loves that bike but also now likes the Roadking ride better and thinks she needs one of them. Thursday I took her out to her practice area - the local industrial park to get her spring training in
- Anyhow she did fine and is fired up for the new season, so I let her ride the new SEEG - she loves that now and thinks we need another pumpkin! Where will it end! I'll have to see if I can scan in the mag - it was the Thunder Roads Michigan edition from I think August 2004. Need to get her a CVO shirt but she likes them tank top things - have to ask Shirtman about a Yellow tank to match her Fatboy - But its not a CVO so maybe I shouldn't encourage her to get the CVO bug!
You got that right! A Sportster is NOT an easy bike to learn on! Not only did I choose the line with the highest center of gravity, I got the tallest model (1200S)! Now, I'm used to sitting up high. Like Mark said, you definitely sit on top of the Sportster and not "in the frame" like the other models.
So she has a Fatboy and wants a Road King or SEEG? Mrs. WeCVO went from a Road King to a SEEG. Mrs. Red Hot went from a Road King to a SE Fatboy. I guess there is no natural progression for women, it's just "to each her own." Maybe I'll start a thread for women to give me their reasoning or opinion as to why they went with and moved on with each model. [smiley=gorgeous.gif]
In South Georgia and Florida panhandle area, the Vrod seems to be the preferred model.
