Which pipe of the 4 I have in mind
« on: December 24, 2010, 01:08:45 PM »

Just did a engine build on my 01 RG with 95 BB, SE MCR heads and Andrews 54 cams. My old pipes are VH long shots.
I want to upgrade to a 2/1 set up for better power and torque. The pipes I have in mind are.
VH Pro pipe, VH Pro pipe HP, SuperTrapp 2-1 Supermeg and D&D Fat cats.  I have had the Fat cats before on a 2002 SE Road King and
to be honest I felt I lost a bit of torque with them but I never got on a dyno so maybe it was all in my mind.

My main objective is more power and torque with a great look.

Went from the old White Brothers E Series mufflers on true dual head pipes to FatCats.  The E Series were the best true dual slip-ons I ever saw for torque production.  The FatCats were still noticeably better.

Also swapped FatCats on after a set of Rineharts.  Fully expected to notice a real difference when losing the Rineharts.  And did.  The FatCats were a real boost.

Like the FatCats a lot.  Completely satisfied with the torque curve provided.  Can't compare against your other 2-1 options though.  Sorry.  But after finding the FatCats always just figured if it wasn't broke had no reason to fix it.
