I thought I saw question about "Passing lights" on a FLHX, but I cannot see it now.  In Australia, the animals are a real threat, and besides liking the Old School look, it would be handy with them angled out slightly in the bush..

Has anyone done this?  The FLHXSE2 is a kind of a low rider "Hot Rod Bagger" look of a stripped down Ultra.   I am wondering if the three headlights would harm the look.  Seems to me it would fix the front view, where the standard FLHX looks a bit generic from the front.  With the 3 headlights it would look very HARLEY from the front.  That Old School Fat look.

Your thoughts or pictures??

Best regards from Oz...

I think this is the thread you're talking about - Help! Has anyone put on the Aux. Passing lights on the 2011 Street Glide CVO?.

KKM,

Kevin, Thank you for the pictures, and that is GREAT!!!

I lost my own Post and could not find it....

Kevin, what are the indicators?  Did you adapt the original CVO indicators?  My 2011 indicators are cast one piece with the mount. You rig is exactly what I want to do to my 2011.  Are those bullet indicators offered by HD?  Bolts right on?

Thank you for the great pics......  Your bike looks really good.

Best regards from Australia, Cowboy 2

Thank you KKM,

I found it in a downloaded 2011 HD Catalogue....  SE or CVO style side mount passing lights, clear lens, and amber lens turn indicators mounted under, basically just like yours.  It will not have the cross over bar like my Ultra Glide.

I have the 2011 Orange and Black CVO Street Glide in original Harley colours of orange and black, love it...  It looks chunky and low rider everywhere but from the front.  Front on, it does not identify itself as HARLEY and looks a bit weak, but the passing lights look, amber orange indicators slung under, will scream chunky Harley even from the front...  Thanks for the picture...

Here is Australia, anywhere off the coast and even ON the coast, the passing lights besides looks are a degree of safety.  I will cant them out about 5 degrees, and get a good view of any roos on the side of the road or thinking about jumping out on me...  :coolblue:

Thanks again, and "Gotta Luv this Forum"

CVO Passing Lights and Bullet indicators set up for my Street Glide FLHX, is not available in Australia....    :soapbox:

I could get them in three weeks out of U.S. Harley plus freight... :soapbox:  But has anyone seen the normal old school Ultra Glide Passing Light set up on a CVO?

I kind of like the drop cross bar under the headlight, same passing lights as the Ultra, and add bullet indicators underneath. How would that look, anyone seen it???????

My scooter is the original bar and shield orange and black 2011 CVO Street Glide.  The chrome bar would be a bit of a standout against the orange on the bottom triple tree cover.  It would be better if I had the fork cover and the top slider covers in chrome.... HOW BAD WOULD IT LOOK, any Opinion welcome??? :confused5:

Thanks, Cowboy 2

Sorry for the late reply...been on vacation.

Yes these are the original turn indicators. Pull them off, put the Aux Light brackets in their place and the indicators mount below.
I would take the Amber lights out and put the High Intensity bulbs back if doing any night riding... 6" of snow and ice in Georgia now, so just sittin by the fire.

Well it is finally done,
Old School lights on my Street Glide.  But you need them in Oz...  Canted out 5 degrees looking for Roos on the sides of the road..

LED tail light, Vance and Hines extractors, LEDs on front windscreen trim, and a bit more.  This is Old School, even the best colour, original Bar and Shield orange and black in the SESG.    Best wishes from Australia...
