BigDaddy, Sometimes the photo editing software that comes with the camera can be somewhat complex. I use Microsoft Picture it! which was already loaded on my PC when I got it. It's a little simpler and more straightforward to use than what came with my camera. You may also have a simpler software that was pre-existing on your PC that you can use to view/edit/re-size photos. Take a look in your Start --> Programs menu. It might be tough to find, but I'll be you have one.
The size that works best for posting is 800x600. This will keep you from having to scroll to see the entire image. Your camera probably has a pixel setting that would be close to this size. That's handy for snapping a few quick photos and posting them without having to go through the hassles of re-sizing.
As far as that notice message you've highlighted, all that means is that if you preview your post after you've attached the photo, you will have to re-attach the photo before you hit the "Post" button. If you don't preview it, then just hit the "Post" button, and the photo (as long as it meets the size and file extension requirements) will appear as part of your post.
