Electric motorcycle are coming sooner than later, and so will the rumble be replaced by a soulless sound???

So much for "loud pipes save lives".

But wait......I believe it'll have an option for imitation motorcycle sound at the flip of a switch. ;D

They've already been working on the sound issue.  It seems electric cars are too quiet and they are afraid people won't hear them coming; before long there will be speakers in them to generate noise - probably simulated engine noise.  So people's lame Prius can sound like anything they want - a V12, an F1 car - just push the right button.  It will be the ultimate poser bike!  Electric with custom engine sounds: turn down the "idle" to a Shovel lope, program in "shift" points.  The MoCo is still trying to figure out which of their usual engine noises - banging, valve clatter, bearing chirp - to put into the stock program.

Instead of asking what pipes somebody is running, we'll ask what speakers they have on it.

If you think it's the journey not the destination you don't live in Nebraska.

Not trying to hijack the thread, but this made me recall something.  Any of you other "boomers" remember when we were kids, Mattel sold a toy called "V-rroom" that we could attach to our bicycles that looked like a motorcycle engine and made a motorcycle sound?  Not that I ever had one, but I knew a kid who did...

I was poor as a kid (still am!) so it was a couple playing cards and a couple clothes pins for us.  Not much on looks but it sure had the sound.....speed actuated. ;D

Sorry, I edited after you attached.  I had to do the card thing too.  And wear clothes my cousin had outgrown.  Now I'm overcompensating.
