I got the 16gb ipod with my bike without the bar and shield.  The dealer was willing to switch it with an 8gb ipod but the bar and shield was simpy a sticker.  I elected to keep the 16.

I just got my cvo before Christmas from Rockys in London and i also got the 16 gig without the logo on it. I was there and opened up the plastic sealed bag with all of the extras and this is what it came with.

Thanks benz.....I am waiting for the dealership to get back to me. I really would like to get the 8gb with the b&s....we will see. I must say the 16gb is nice too. I have over 2400 songs on it with 2gb to spare. My gut says that they will NOT be able to get another Ipod unless they take it from another CVO.

When Apple switched to the new style "Nano", there are no iPods with the Bar & Shield, but rather a tiny "Custom Vehicle Operations" etching across the top  of the clip on the back of the unit.  I suspect that Apple substituted 16GB units due to overwhelming demand for the 8GB at that time due to various companies giving these things away near the end of the year in various promotions.  I picked my bike up in early December and that's what it came with? (laser marked tiny CVO wording).

I received an answer about the ipods/ b & s from my dealer. My rep. at the dealer talked to Scott Marrow at head office. He said that the ipods with the B & S where put in bikes that where made in the 1st production year. All other bikes will receive ipods with NO b&s. Even if you go to a dealer and ask to buy a new ipod you would receive an ipod with no b&s.

Curious, do all the 2011 CVO models come with the iPod nano?

My Ultra Classic only came with the Zumo Navigation Unit.

All the 2011 CVOs, except the SEUC, come with the iPod setup.  I still am miffed over that.  The SEUC comes with less, but yet costs more than the SEURG.   :nixweiss:

Thanks for the reply RedDevil.  I agree it doesn't make a lot of sense, but at the end of the day if I had to choose between the Nav and the IPod I would go with the Nav.

That's what strange Sleddawg, the SEURG the comes with both the Nav and the iPod.  I don't get why the MoCo left the iPod off the SEUC.

Mine is the new iPod Nano - 8Gig with a touch screen. 

About the size of the old iPod shuffles.

No bar and shield but has "Custom Vehicle Operations" on the top of the clip on back.

It's good to know they are keeping up with progress.  Does that one have the video camera capability of the one I have which is not touch screen?
