It says "Custom Vehicle Operations"

this exactly what mine lloks like.  its not like the ipod shown in the CVO brochure that i viewed before buying my bike.  mine came with an 8gb Nano Touch with "Custom Vehicle Operations" lazer etched on the back of the belt clip with an apple logo below it.

8G with etched Bar and Shield here, got ours in August i believe.  it would appear the bar and shield ipods with camera are pretty rare, huh!

FOR SALE: early 8G ipod Shuffle with CAMERA and BAR AND SHIELD!!!  RARE~ $1000 frirm    :P

kinda neat for those of us who got the early one, kinda sucky for everyone else i'd say.........although the 16G would be nice, i'll keep the bar and shield with camera.. ;)

Just something else to chew on...those new touch screen nanos have design flaw in that you can't turn them off. They only sleep...sooo, battery drain still happens, even if minutely. Countless blogs / complaints were made to Apple and a lot of people, including my BSR, have simply returned theirs because of the frustration over this. I noticed on another string here that some FLHXSE2 owners are now experiencing this first hand.

That is very strange.  I got the new touch screen nano and I can turn mine off.  If you press the power button once it goes into sleep mode, press and hold and it powers down.  I think thats how it works, its been sitting in drawer for over a week, I'll double check when I get home.  When its connected to the bike it doesn't really matter.

Ghost Rider...I just did a quick search to back up what I was saying and it appears we were both correct...lol...that generation of ipod nano had so many complaints that Apple released a software update which enabled the "Turn Off" function.

So perhaps this is a fix for some of those having that issue...plug yer little square ones into iTunes and update the software...

Apple stop making the old nano sep. Or Oct. Roughly, so you might get the small cube touch screen version

thats what i have.  no b & s though.  instead it says "custom vehicle operations" on the back.

Great... >:( Are there any Canadian owners out there.....maybe this is a Canadian thing  :nixweiss:.
Yeah, I'm Canadian and mine came with a STD 8gb with no logo, I asked why as I had done my home work before I bought the bike and we went over and looked at the same bike as mine that had yet to be PDI'd and same unit in that one...
