Benefits of 50 mm throttle body with 4.9 injectors
« on: December 29, 2010, 07:08:53 PM »

Looking for ideas on the added benefits of adding the 50 mm throttle body with bigger injectors to an 07 SEUC with andrews 54 cams, .60 milled off of the heads and cleaned up, rinehart 2-1 and an SE race tuner. is the difference between the stock 46 and the 50 worth the money????

Thanks

Personally I would say not....!  First off your stock TB flows enough for heads with stock valves and stock ports. Second your stock injectors deliver more than enough fuel for the cam and heads you have. People that use larger injectors when they are not needed will effect the lower rpm performance.
If you do decide to go with the 50mm the cost would not only be for the Throttle body and labor to install it but your bike would need another tune. You might gain a few ponies at 5500 to 6000 rpm however that will come with a price of poor throttle response off the line. Bigger isn't always better unless you have the configuration to go along with it.
