Interesting, I did not know that, I will ask about that when I get to the dealer.  I don't seem to have any other symptoms of a bad compensator.  What can I look for to decide if the compensator could be the problem?

Hard the bike in the shop for warranty replacement of my heated grip, but of course I could not recreate the starting problem.  No codes were found to give them and idea, but will keep seeing if I can duplicate the circumstances that cause the problem.

High probability the cause is the stock compensator...  Do you hear any mechanical noise from the primary area at startup or shutoff?

So it starts right up in the morning or if it sits for a long time? If so could be a leaky injector. Turn it off after the system is pressurized and it leaks gas, in the am the or after a long stop the gas has vaporized and is gone so no flooding. Just a thought.
