Is there a front brake upgrade for the 2009 CVO Springer?
« on: January 01, 2011, 09:20:28 AM »

I really hate the dead feel of the front brake on my 2009 CVO Springer.  Does an upgrade exist that any of you are aware of?

I have not heard of those pads before.  The problem with the front brake is that it has no "feel" to it.  Would pads fix that?

Thanks, Scott

I could "feel" the difference in the stock Harley pads and the Lyndall.

Check out the link.

I'm not really sure what you mean when you say that your front brake "has no feel" to it.  I noticed on my 2008 that within one year of purchase, both my brake reservoirs and the clutch reservoir fluids were contaminated and appeared to have black s#!t in suspension. I flushed all three systems thoroughly until clear fluid bled and it seems that whatever it was must have been on the rubber diaphragms when installed at the factory.  Subsequent inspections reveals only a clean fluid.  I know that it may sound funny but any contaminants ( or air ) will affect the compressibility of the fluid in the system and can be felt in the lever or pedal.

Do you have a part number for the pads? They do not show the SSE springers.  Thanks.

If you have the original equipment P/N you can cross reference it to what Lyndall offers. Go to the link that SBB posted and look to the right and you'll see the OEM P/N's.
