Pealing paint

I gotta starter pealing big flakes of paint off of it. Im gonna try and get it covered under warranty. Just wondering if anyone else has seen this on there bike ?

Have read of this a few times.  If the starter is black against a granite engine might be a good excuse just to get a can of granite paint from the parts counter and make it match instead.
