Oil out of Therman Brothers Custom AC
« on: January 04, 2011, 02:54:35 PM »

I have installed an after market AC and when I took off the stock AC and the oil breather hoses I install the Custom AC which has no oil breather lines. About every two weeks I have to clean my filter because the filter gets saturated with oil and it blows it back along the side of the bike. Has anyone else experienced this issue and is there a setup that would sump that oil?

Desertbear,

How many miles on your build?   Has anyone ever checked your breathers in the heads to see if they are over saturated or falling apart?   If they get too over heated they fail to work correctly.

Is there any oil in your intake?   Are you running the bike at high rpms for long periods?

No the oil doesn't physically get into the flapper area just leaks down around the intake and base mount for the filter element.
