I rode many comfortable high mileage (500+) days on a Mustang one piece tourer on my old 1994 RK

The current Mustang seat for the RK will fit the SEEG but I'm not sure if it has the slot for the backrest.

You should be prepared for a variety of opinions on this subject though...

Cheers

Another Mustang-lover here. Wife has it on her 04 FLHR and I had it on my 96 FLHR. Both were two-piece seats with the backrest. I had over 56,000 miles on mine and still loved it. Longest day was 750 miles for both of us, and neither of us had sore butts.
May put one on the seeg. But gotta have that rider backrest! I miss that seat!

I've got a HD comfort stich,  just got back from a trip and think I'm going Corbin.  The HD seat looses it cookies after about 250 miles (which makes your cookies pretty sore).  I've heard good things about the Corbins and Mustangs too.....Kinda like picking pipes.....

Bubba;

Went w/ the H.D. pillow look all around and am very pleased. Momma said it was a little wide on her inner thighs though. Did many long days on it last year and A$$ really never got sore.

It is, but sitting on it you'll never know it.  Somebody told me that it's due to the closed cell foam that they use and exactly the same reason why you can put eight or ten hours in it and not get monkey butt.

Fortunately, for me, I was loaned one to use for a few weeks to see for myself.......I'm a believer now.  Haven't taken it off the bike since I put it on and I have a garage wall full of seats. [smiley=nixweiss.gif]

Dave, I thought if you rode that far in the UK you ran out of country?  [smiley=nixweiss.gif]  ;D

I'm looking for a third seat for the longer rides. I'm considering the Mustang [highlight]one piece sport touring seat[/highlight]. This seat accepts the stock driver packrest.
Go to www.mustangseats.com/hdcontst.htm they have a screamin' eagle section.
I most likely will also go with the king tour pack extended arm wrap around passenger smooth backrest for the woman.

Has anyone tried the HD "Sundowner"?

I stuck one on my Night Train and rode to Sturgis and back (5k miles) and loved it. I am wondering if the equivilent will work for the Electra?

For all you Mustang lovers here.

Overall you seem to be pretty happy with the seats. What is your opinion of the vinyl as opposed to leather?

I am ready for a new seat and like the looks of the Mustang over the Corbin, but comfort is the priority, and that includes the "feel" of the vinyl.

Corbin Dual Touring heated seat is the best I've owned. I had a HD Zepplin (air) seat on an Ultra and the Corbin is far better on my butt  [smiley=xyxthumbs.gif]

Vinyl was fine for me - we rarely get temps high enough to make "Betty Swallocks" a problem and the unpredictability of the weather in UK means a water resistant seat is pretty much a necessity.

Cheers
