This has been around for a while.  It's part of a sequence taken on The Dragon.  All started when the guy rounded the bend and decided to wave at the camera instead of steer the bike.

Embarrassment is the least of his worries at this point.  Ouch is putting it mildly.

I thought when the bike goes down you are supposed to sit on the high side while it slows down   [smiley=oops.gif] [smiley=nixweiss.gif]

That looks like some major road rash too, I like the way the camera panned with the bike and caught the sparks under it. Hell of a pic.

That's easy for you to say........... ::)
I posted this as a reminder to all to ride safe cause $hit can happen when we least expect it especially when distracted for just a quick moment.

R,

The Boot Ad reference was way I recieved the photo from a friend. I guess its the only thing that came to mind when he sent me such an unusual photo. I know from his email he didn't find it humorous at all especially since he had a somewhat similiar crash himself recently, his helmet saved him from serious injury..........

I hear you!!!!

Its not a good thing to go down or get hit and we talk about being safe here a lot.  Its good to have a reminder that a moments lapse in concentration can be a bad thing.

Its like a buddy of mine that took a racing class said, "everyone was ok while racing but they crashed coming in on the cool down lap because they relaxed and stopped paying attention."

I certainly understand your point.  Have a good evening, its finally nice out here so I think I'll try to get a ride in.

Can relate to a slide. An 81 year old lady pulled out in front of me while going 55 mph. Laid it down and the State Trooper said I must have slowed down to 40mph when I slid under her car. Never want anyone to ever experience that feeling. She did not get a ticket!

That picture gives me a pit in my stomach....I usually carry my most precious cargo on the back, just shows the need to be focused I guess.
