That picture gives me a pit in my stomach....[highlight]I usually carry my most precious cargo on the back[/highlight], just shows the need to be focused I guess.
Rick

Yeah Rick - me too

I generally ride a lot more "composed" with my loved significant other on the back

By myself - I can be a bit of a "dickhead" ;)

Put it this way - I have only ever had "incidents" while riding (or driving) solo

There's a lesson there for me there - I know it - but will I apply it??? [smiley=nixweiss.gif]

Cheers

Dave,
I had a bike with Calvin from the cartoon Calvin and Hobbes on the two side panels.  The one on the right he had a halo and the one on the left he had horns. Not too hard to guess which one I was with wifey on the back.

Yep - that's it exactly. [smiley=xyxthumbs.gif]

Is that why married men live longer? - or does it just seem like we do... [smiley=nixweiss.gif]

This photo only reminds me of the risks we take enjoying our passion. :( Regardless of the risks we still love it, and this should remind us to be careful, and be attentive when riding. There is not a time I get on my scooter, and wonder if this will be the day that I go down. [smiley=nixweiss.gif] I think because I keep that thought in the back of my mind I stay focused on what I'm doing. There is a saying that has a lot of truth to it, and of all the people I've known to ride it has held true....

There are two types of riders, those that have been down, and those that are going down. :'(

I have been down more times then I wish to remember (once was enough), and keep that in mind when I ride. I know a lot of times accidents are out of our control, but if you always look for a "way out" and constantly think about this as different circumstances occur as you ride you will be better off.

This is not the best picture, but it shows the mentality when I ride with my wife. She has the closed eye, slice of heaven look. I have the wind in my face hauling ass look. It fits ;D
