TTS speedometer calibrations
« on: January 07, 2011, 04:06:17 PM »

My CUSE5-BLK is off in it's speedometer by 4%, if the speedo says I'm doing 70, I'm really doing 67.  The TTS tuner I own allows me to make corrections I just don't know which way to go and thought I would ask before programming.  If my current sprocket constant is 2080, do I move it up by 4% or down by 4%?  The manual doesn't say much on this topic.

Thanks,
Richard

New VSS Freq  =  (Original VSS Freq x Speedo Reading)/Indicated Dyno Speed

There is a calculator included with the product. If you fill it in with the proper numbers from your bike it will calculate the proper number for you. You can also view the instructions that are right in Mastertune by going to "Help" on the top middle area of the screen. Once the drop down opens go to "Contents" When that opens there will be three tabs on the left side and you "click" on the"Search" tab. Once there type speedometer into the search box then "click" "List Topics button. Below the button it will list all the topics that contain the word speedometer in it. The one you want is Speedometer Calibration, double "click" on it and your full instructions are listed on the right side of the page.

I have fullsac X-pipe, 1.75 cores, TTS & Big Sucker and I believe Steve George at Fullsac told me 2250 was the correct # with my set up since he just personally tuned the exact bike and set up I have.  Don't know if this helps or not but thought I'd chime in just in case.
