TTSMastertune
« on: January 09, 2011, 10:17:37 PM »

Received the Fullsac x pipe, 2.0 CVO muffler cores and TTS mastertune for my 2011 FLTRUSE. Dealer installed x pipe & muffler core on Sat and when they went to run the TTS Mastertune they got a message that it would not work on a 2011. The HD tech called for support but they were closed. He is going to call tomorrow but I wanted to check to see if anyone else had this issue and any way to get around it?

Also heads up if Steve is reading post, that they will be calling tomorrow.

Not sure if they assumed the software I received on Friday was the new version but I will check with them in the morning when they open.

The Map is probably based off the latest version of the software.   You can ask them if they are on version 1.60 vtune / 1.61 tuning.   If they just installed it and did not go through the 15 to 20 minutes of updates and reinstalls the map will not work until they do.

Oh my! 15 -20 minutes of software updates on a CD I recevied on Friday. Let me see....@ $70/hr labor charge another $19-$20 paid to the dealer for installation. Maybe I should give up the white shirt job and go back to and learn to wrench.

You should put the map in it yourself. Once you download the newest version of software, it only takes a few minutes to install the actual map into the bike. Just need a laptop and usb cables.

It sounds like they tried to install a map for an older bike, or the wrong model.  Softail, maybe?  I know TTS  is not compatible with 2011 Softails yet because of the new HDLAN used in those models.  If the dealer has to cal TTS for help that would indicate they know about as much as you do.  The advice to load it yourself sounds like good advice to me.

Pretty easy if you can run a computer and hook up the cable.........save yourself the $$$$ labor charge and do it yourself! You already own the program.

Great advice if was just installing the TTS but I had the dealer install the x-pipe and the 2.0 baffle and figured it would be an easy install for them with the Mastertune since they had the bike and were doing the other work. They had the correct map (2011 CVO Road Glide) because Steve (Fullsac) emailed it to me and I copied to a CD and gave to them. Still sounds like maybe a connection to the internet and an update to the software is what is needed.

As far as the comment on I know as much as the dealer, probably correct because this is the 1st Fullsac/TTS installation they have done. They are pushing other pipes (no names mentioned) and I am trying to get them to add the Fullsac option to their suggestions for other people who may come in and want pipes.

I was very impressed with the time Cammie at fullsac spent with me to the extent she switched me from another brand. Heard the pipes while the bike was on the rack when I went by on Saturday and they are every bit as cool and everyone on the site is saying.

Not frustrated yet and still think I made the right decision.

Since we are now getting snow (4-8") and the Charlotte area is shut down, it may be tomorrow before I get answers from the dealership to see if they got it resolved.

Not like I could be out riding.......

Have the dealer start by running the updater program included with the software. The CD's are just the starter CD and may not be up to date as we have no idea of when that kit was put together.
