Removing Hi Output baffles
« on: January 13, 2011, 12:58:58 PM »

I've been trying to remove the baffles from my Vance and Hines Hi Output mufflers to install quiet baffles.  Thus far I have been unsuccessful.  I removed both screws from the end caps and tried to use a hook puller to pull the baffles out, isn't working.  Any tips or clues that would help me out would be greatly appreciated.  Thanks ahead of time.  Larry   :(

A good hacksaw just forward of the baffles should do the trick.

Hold the muffler firmly at the big end a slam the small end on a block of wood to get the baffle to slip down and hope that the screw hole is visible. then try and flatten the inside of the screw hole so the baffle will then slide out. done this before when working with welds
good luck
