Hey Glenpick

Today I ordered the parts for the conversion of the rear end of my bike from International Specs to US Specs. The whole deal is around $750 for the fender, 2 smoked envelope tail lights and the original wiring. If you need the part numbers please let me know.

Hey Rogzy.

Are you talking Euro's? I replaced my envelope tail lights also (left #69383-09 and right #69407-09) and with a 15% discount + Canadian taxes they cost almost $600.00 CAN. That means your fender only cost $150. (The Canadian dollar is currently more that the U.S.  :huepfenjump3:) I don't think Harley sells anything that cheap. :P
Also i do not think your lights are going to work like they should without a RUN/BRAKE/TURN Module. I could be wrong but your bike right now is wired the same as mine and that means your tail lights are just turn signals. So when you say original wiring does this mean a harness or are they going to just modify what is there and if so can it be done?

Look into it my friend and I hope i am wrong. The bright side is that it looks awesome. :2vrolijk_21:

Hey Mano,

Thanks for your reply.
I did look into the matter through my Egyptian dealer and US Dealer. They both quoted me the same parts as following:
1- Fender US specs 59669-11CRP
2- Envelope smoked tail light part number 69383-09
3- Envelope smoked tail light part number 69407-09
4- Harness part number 70338-09

This whole deal without shipping or taxes cost $700 to $750. The fender costs without $560 without any discounts.

Hey Rogzy
Thanks very much for the reply - much appreciated - gonna get prices here for the same parts - will be interesting to see what my stealer charges me.
Cheers
Glen.

Hey Glen,
Let me know what prices you are getting at your end. My stealer wants to charge me $1700. That is $1000 more than what I am getting. If you consider taxes and duties around $350, then I am saving $650 for other mods :-))

I hear ya brother. I too have been spending on the look. Once I break in the motor and i know all is well i will probably go with the FULSAC STAGE 1 because i really want to keep the stock look. I just want to hear a bike in person with this set up before i decide on the baffles.

For the time being I am planning on the following:
1- Change rear end like the US version.
2- Change suspension to progressive 440.
3- Change the exhaust to true duals. I am going for full system. VH headers but I am not sure which slip ons to use. I like Rineharts but I am unable to put my hands on a pair. Custom Chrome won't deliver before April and I am unable to find anything that sounds like it. I hate the sound of my bike with stock pipes. Any suggestions?

Taillights of Export/ HDI / non USA models
« Reply #24 on: March 27, 2011, 03:32:50 AM »

I will take delivery of my Krypto soon :cucumber: :cucumber: and plan to make the rear end of the international version more attractive. Unfortunatly I have to keep the taillight in the middle of the fender.

Are there other options than from Kuryakyn for the taillight?

I want to replace the Envelope amber tail lights (which serve on the HDI as turn signals)  with the (USA-specs) in grey.

Do I really need to change the harness or is it just PLUG AND PLAY ( removal of amber envelope lights and fitting the grey ones)??

Are the sockets not the same, therefore no need to buy a new harness?

Does someone know the price of the harness and the envelope taillights??

Thanks for all support and help!

I would suggest that you go with the Fullsac X-pipe B for better performance than TD...I had Rinehart TDs on my last bike and there is a world of difference between the two...also, wait on the Rinehart 4" slip-ons...you'll be glad you did!

I feel your pain, It really sucks that MOCO has the Nightster rear end proofed in EUROPE and cant be asked to do the same with the TOP END CVO models. So the brake light must be in the middle argument doesnt hold up.

Hey Aero, I dont think you need to change the harness but you would get the smoked tail lights to work as signal lights only. BUT if you want them to work as tail lights (always on), I suppose you will need to change the harness. If I were you I'd buy the harness anyways and decide later. Harness is only $40.

Hey Doc,

I am not sure if fulmars setup would work for me since I'd have to have someone remove the stock baffles and install the fullsacs. Not sure if I can find a technician to do it for me. Plus I am not sure the fullsacs have a map in the SEPRT. Any thoughts?

Hello ROGZY

Thanks for your input. I hope that just replacing the envelope tail lights from amber to grey is all I have to do.

The envelope tail lights will serve further as turn signals and the HDI taillight as brake light ( :-[ :-[ >:()

Has someone a wiring diagram and can tell me, if this would work as mentioned above?? Would be very helpful!!

Any ideas for improving the taillight apart from KURYAKYN 5409??

Is the KURYAKYN 5409 easy for installation or are there modifications to the harness because of the LEDs??
