Help identifying things inside the fairing
« on: January 15, 2011, 07:01:05 PM »

I was trying to get my Zumo 665 to work with the stock cradle today, but was unsuccessful.  While I was inside the fairing I ran across some things I wasn't familiar with.  I've had an Electra Glide of some sort for the last 10 years, but this is my first CVO.  My service manual should be shipping any day now, but thought I would ask the stupid questions about what these things are.  I took some pictures and pointed a red arrow at the things in question.  Can someone help me out and identify what these modules are?

Thanks, JDO, I was kind of thinking that myself.  The module under the XM antenna has me pretty baffled as well.  I do like the mount for it.  I may make something similar for my Garmin XM puck.

Looks like you're pointing at the garage door opener's transmitter, the GPS antenna (under the XM antenna) and the receiver module for wireless power locks.

Ohhhh  ??? , starting in 2010 the dead cat is supplied in a digital relay and integrated in the ECM.

Wide band?   :nixweiss:

Oh yeah, definitely.  As part of the 103 "Power Pack" the special "digital tail extension" is added for better wireless transmission of the wide band data.

If anyone could figure it out, it'd be you! ;D
