Yes. I built a 26" wheel for the front of my chopper last year. For me I gained width going from the 21" I had. The ride is as you would expect with such a low profile tire. I wouldn't do this to my Bagger but on my Chopper it is about right.

You didn't tell us how it rode.
Or turned/handled.
In comparison to the 21 what was the difference?
I remember the 280 on the Frontier and how it made the bike want to go straight.
I'm just not sure how a 26" wheel changes the front end operation.

On the Chopper the ride isn't any different than with the 21". A low profile tire doesn't offer a lot in the way of absorbing the bumps. The springer does a good job of taking the bounce out of the tire. The turn in is a little different as it takes a little more bar input to initiate a turn. I contribute that to the wider-flatter tire. The added weight is visible in the springer as I can see the front end moving a whole lot more than with the lighter 21". Again I don't see myself adding one to my Bagger anytime soon.
