Colonoscopy
« on: April 07, 2006, 11:03:20 AM »

All the organs of the body were having a meeting, trying to decide who was
the one in charge .

"I should be in charge," said the brain , "Because I run all the body's
systems, so without me nothing would happen,

"I should be in charge," said the blood , "Because I circulate oxygen all
over so without me you'd all waste away."

"I should be in charge," said the stomach," Because I process food and give
all of you energy."

"I should be in charge," said the legs, "because I carry the body wherever
it needs to go."

"I should be in charge," said the eyes, "Because I allow the body to see
where it goes."

"I should be in charge," said the rectum, "Because I'm responsible for waste
removal."

All the other body parts laughed at the rectum  and insulted him, so in a
huff, he shut down tight.

Within a few days, the brain had a terrible headache, the stomach was
bloated, the legs got wobbly, the eyes got watery, and the blood  was toxic.
They all decided that the rectum should be the boss.

The Moral of the story?

The asshole is usually in charge !!

Why does this thread keep getting back to the top of this section??? Could it be because I'm getting this procedure done in a couple of days???? [smiley=nixweiss.gif]

Heh, since this is such a technical site does anybody want me to get play-by-play pictures to post? [smiley=huepfenlol2.gif]

Seriously though having this procedure done is painless and a much better alternative then having a

You sound like you are getting a total rebuild, each time there's a medical procedure on here, you are getting, have had it or if it involves something shiny you want it!   ;D [smiley=huepfenjump3.gif] ;)
I must be getting old. [smiley=huepfenlol2.gif] I thought that I would keep my "OEM" parts a little longer, but I guess not. [smiley=confused5.gif] No wonder I always want to change things on my scooter since I'm not keeping my body stock. ;D

You know as you get older you get wiser, and realize that proper maintenance means a lot if you want to be around to be in the wind with all you friends. Therefore I've started being more regular about getting tune-ups (yearly physicals) then I was when I was younger.

I also had this procedure last year, following a bout of diverticulitis.

I have to say it's not a lot of fun - especially when they stick the bicycle pump up your backside to inflate the passage so they can slide the betamax camera up there...
