In my past experience a routine service will not affect your tune.

If it's only the 5K service being performed, I can't imagine anything being done that would even remotely effect your tune...  You should have no worries!   :2vrolijk_21:

A sloppily done oil change and possibly a stripped drain plug are about the worst you can expect from a 5000 mi service, unless they happen to scratch or dent something in the process, its basically an inspection, it might be fun to put some nail polish on critical fasteners to see how many they actually check

Oil and filter change and a cursory look over won't hurt a thing.

The only worry I would have is either the dealer pulls your bike in for the 5k service and all you really get is an oil change or some idiot treats your paint job like it is a work bench.  I let the dealer do my 5k service in conjunction with the recall work but it is the last time they EVER work on my bike unless it's warranty work. I'm really not even convinced they performed the recall work except on paper.  I've got the manuals and tools and perform my own maintenance so I know it gets done.  Maybe your dealer's mechs actually have experience and a proud work ethic unlike some dealers who seem to hire anyone with tools.  Sorry bastards.

Why would you think they would have any reason to "mess with your tuning"?  Assuming you have a written work request that states specifically what you want done, I seriously doubt anyone is going to spend time doing other stuff for which he will not be paid.

Do you have a copy of your map?  If you don't, you need to get one and keep it on a USB drive.  Then if some bored Harley tech decides to "mess with your tuning" just to mess with you, it won't matter since you could just reload your map.

Best advice, if you want zero chance of a dealership mucking up your bike, then don't take the bike to them for anything.

The only time a dealer touches my bike is when there is a warranty claim, such as your potential problem with the ABS.  All regular service gets done by me, then I don't have to worry about anyone else screwing it up, and have only myself to blame if I screw something up, which has never happened.  When I have had to take it to them for warranty repair, the work order is specific to the problem, and nothing else.
