this will be my fourth one. good motivation for HOG members. guides you along the path of solid ideas for member involvement. also great idea exchange with other chapters. plus, one helluva party on friday night

Four times seems like overkill to me.
I was thinking the purpose of this training was to train people interested in helping in the local chapter to learn more.
Sort of a schooling for those being groomed to become active in the chapter.
Many of the past officers have attended, some twice. Our chapter is allowed 7 spots for those interested to sign up.
This year, 6 of the 7 attendees with be those attending for the first time.
There are those who had senority to attend but because they have done it in the past they pass so the new committed members can attend.
If I wanted to attend a party, for the sake of a party I'd ride to Ribfest or Maggie Valley or Miketee's house.

Sorry Larry, but that's not correct.
Last year the Charlotte Chapter sent three member there were not Chapter officers.
It's a training geared to groom those active in the chapter that want to move to an officer position.

That was the reason for changing the name from P.O.T. (Primary Officer Training) to H.O.T. (HOG Officer Training).
Each Chapter is allowed six positions with one for the sponsoring dealer. As has been stated it is now open to whichever members of a chapter that the chapter wishes to send.
You cannot just sign up through H.O.G. unless your chapter has not used its allotment of spots.

The reason I'm going this year is that I'm the dealer/chapter liason. plus my wife is a new officer. everyone besides me will be 1st timers.
back to the reason I posted this, just thought it would be a good way for some HOG/CVO members to get together.
