This is a quote from HOG what HOT is about
"For many, being a H.O.G.® chapter member is an important part of the Harley Owners Group® experience. And to help make sure chapter leaders have an opportunity to develop the skills they need to make their chapter all it can be, we offer the H.O.G.® Officer Training (H.O.T) program.

Each year, hundreds of chapter officers and dealer representatives from around the country (and the world) attend H.O.T. sessions, held at various locations throughout the world. In addition to valuable instruction, they offer attendees an important opportunity to meet and exchange ideas and experiences with fellow chapter officers – and have a great time while they're at it!"

don't see where it says "bring new people into HOG"
it's not the same thing every year

Robert has been in Hog for quite sometime, Paula and I met him at the Hawaiian State rally  :2vrolijk_21:

He is or has been the director of his chapter , great guy to get to know .

  Marty

Never a director or primary officer... however I was head Road Captain for multiple years until a Clique took over that Chapter and pushed out people that didnt cater to thier wants or needs. (You know I cater to know one)

I am now Site Coordinator for the Hawaii State HOG Rally again this year... new people, new ideas, some old ideas and still lots of fun...

Last year we introduced "returning visitors rides" to give the retunees a deeper look into the islands they didnt get to see thier first... and sometimes second and third visit...

Marty... you're with the Simi Valley Chapter?

I couldn't take it anymore, I was the 1st activies dir. and I would setup rides for one hundred miles and people would chit there pants.

I was told we have to stop every 50 miles  :rolleyes4:

I would end a ride at a  bar and grill or a restaurant (as you know when the ride is over, hog has no responsibility)  :nixweiss:  they wanted to stop at an ice cream parlor  :huepfenlol2:

I setup rides for 3 groups

 1 long distance
 2 med.
 3 short

all the same ride, i told everybody they can get in whatever group they want.

I was told not to separate the chapter

 so I said adios  :drink:

WTF?.... I tried same... they wanted to be "together" (in other words, the ones lacking confidence wanted to ride with the big boys but wanted us to slow down and wait for them.... )

So I, along with many others moved to the Windward Oahu Chapter (www.windwardhog.net) where they actually ride all day... and even enjoy each other's company... what a concept!
