T-Man is one source. A dude name Thayer is the guy who came up with it. This is from T-Man's web site.

This pump is designed to scavage the flywheel and cam areas individually, which results in a mark improvement in oil scavaging and control of vacuum within the engine. This allows the engine to run freer at extended high RPMs for extended times.

Precision machined to provide consistent oil pressure and improve oil flow, resulting in maximum oil system performance. This pump has been dyno tested at T-Man Performance with results demonstrating it's superior scavaging performance. Field proven at Bonneville Salt Flats when achieving World Records in the 1650 cc class.

*Due to the high precision tolerances this pump is manufactured to, no more than .0035" pinion runout should be allowed. Greater runout than .0035" may cause damage to the pump, which is not covered under warranty. It is strongly recommended that the engine's crank assembly be trued and welded to prevent excessive pinion runout.

"Of all the pumps I have tested over the years, this pump offers superior performance results. I am so pleased with the performance of this pump, that I strongly recommend it for all engine builds and oil pump upgrades." TR Reiser"

hd-dude said it works very well. Since I've had an oil issue with this scooter twice, I'm trying this 3 stage pump.

With those low tolerance requirements, you still want to put it in a 110"??????

No different than with any quality oil pump...  Crank runout damages oil pumps... :nixweiss:

As long as you are splitting the cases, you should get the crank done (balanced, welded, etc) if you haven't already.  It's amazing how much smoother the bike will run with a balanced crank.

That's one of the bright spots in my story. The crank is still @ .0015. It was sent to Darkhorse when the motor was made a 117. I got to take the victories I can find.

I'm calling Darkhorse in reference welding the crank. At the time of the build John (think was his name) said it was not necessary to weld it. After over 30000 miles she's holding together quite well tho. He's the expert, I'll see what he recommends now.

I talked with John @ Darkhorse about the current rebuild. I let him know how many miles are on the crank as well as the run out. He advised the Pro Plug is the "heart" of their crank work. Additionally, since the crank already has +30000 miles, he would advise against welding. He added “we will weld the crank upon the customer’s request”, but for the majority of crank modifications, “the Pro Plug will do the job.”  He noted my crank holding up in a 117" with this many miles makes his point.

BTW: real nice guy to talk with! FWIW.

The front head gasket was leaking allowing oil into the front cylinder stud hole. It was full of oil

just got to see this thread. my main computer has been down with a virus from hell....(system tool 2011 rogue antivirus trojan.) hope no one else has to fight this BS, created by scum of the earth.  :soapbox:
anyway just want to clear up,the assumption I made about the blown gasket leaking over into the cly stud area. after talking to Ron, he dosent think the blown gasket caused this. he has seen it on various cly's before. said it is most likely a porous issue. he will check them and seal, if that is the case.

o-yeah I have only heard about/ seen pics of  what stripper dust looks like. :2vrolijk_21:

Well I've been having some good news with this rebuild for a change. Jim got my cylinders and pistons to Ron @ Axtell. Ron inspected the parts, trued the bore (it was slightly tapered) and ball honed em.

New rings, wrist pins and clips as these parts were blued via too much heat but the pistons are good.

Ron brought these with him to the V-Twin Expo and handed them to Jim in order to save me an additional shipping charge. This is the second time Ron @ Axtell went the extra step for me when using their products!  :2vrolijk_21:

So Jim's going to start the rebuild in the near future. I havethe Jagg Oil Cooler and related parts which I will be shipping to Jim soon.
