Autumn Haze In Kansas
« on: April 08, 2006, 08:45:32 AM »

[smiley=banana.gif]Bike arrived 3/30 as scheduled by the dealership. I put 1100 miles on last weekend on a trip to North Western Arkansas. Rode through rain, wind and lots of curvey two lane roads. This is by far the best road bike I have ever owned. Truly pleased with every aspect :). I take the bike in Monday for the Rhineharts, Power Commander, Air Cleaner and Six Speed Tranny. I'm curious to see the fuel consumption after the changes. On the first 1100 miles I was getting about 160 miles to each tank. Hopefully I won't lesson it to much.
Happy Rider in Wichita.

Welcome to the club...glad to hear you and your new scoot are getting along. I think mine still gets about 150 per tank or so. Wtih the extra get up and go...I think I just twist the throttle a little more.

Put some Pics on after you get the Mods done. Also might be a good time for a purty chrome inner primary...since it will be off anyhow?

Congratulations on the new Haze. While you have the case off have them put on an automatic primary chain tensioner.

My Haze should be here in a week or so.

cdl,
Welcome to the site. As you can see it didn't take long for members here to help you spend your cash. This place has the tendency to do that, but not to worry before long you will be helping us spend ours also.  ;D

Congrates and Welcome. If you enjoyed the first 1K in stock trim, you'll love it after the mods.
The difference in performance is well worth the sacrifice of a few miles to the gallon. ;)

Welcome to the site CDL. Good to hear from someone else in Kansas at the controls of a SEUC. I live up the road from you in Olathe. We'll have to hook up later this spring and compare notes on our Haze's. [smiley=xyxthumbs.gif] I did a 200 mile ride last weekend and got close to 175 miles out of a tank. I'm running the SE air kit and V&H oval slip-ons. Stock headers.
