Is their anyone in the US whose CUSE was delivered without the XM radio installed?

More specific to the concern at hand; are there any Canadians whose SE Ultras arrived with the XM module on the bike?  Maybe it just got inadvertently left out of one bike and the dealer is spinning tales to avoid having to pony up the missing part.  If all the Canadians are missing the XM module was anyone told beforehand it wouldn't be there or compensated for the cost of the unit?

This is not definitive, but if you look at the "features" section on the H-D site for the 'CUSE, there is an asterisk after the XM radio feature, with a disclaimer that it only applies to the 48 contiguous states.

That's my plan!  I figure that since I didn't get any extra goodies for the purchase, I am going to pitch the dealer on throwing in the module.  We'll see [smiley=nixweiss.gif].  Quite honestly, I don't think they will have any idea what I am talking about.  When I asked if the bike came with the XM satelite, they thought I was asking if I could put it on the bike and they said "they were not aware of anyone who had put this feature on their bike".  These guys don't see a lot of SE's so it doesn't surprise me.  I have resigned myself to having all work on my bike done in the States.

Hey Canuck:  You should review the language with the asterick again.  "XM SERVICE" available only in the US??  If a Canadian model were to have the module withheld it should state something like "XM Module" or "XM Radio" only available in the contiguous United States.  The bike should have the module installed as advertised and then let the owner deal with the service aspect with XM radio.

Hey Bungy,

I just got my bike yesterday and XM is in Canada and has been since November?  I think we are just getting the shaft :-/.  At least they should have included the module so I could activate it when I was ready.  The module is going to cost me another $700 CND!

Canuck, I just had XM installed and I agree with you. They (MoCo) kinda mislead you on what the new radio has in it. I finally decided to spend the 490.00 for the xm unit then they told me I needed a new wiring harness cable to hook it up. That cost another 124.00 for the cable. Then they told me it would be 2 1/2 hours for labor. I told them to forget the whole thing at that point. After more arbitration and the fact they were replacing my inner fairing due to a factory recall, they reluctently agreed to install it for 1 hours labor and told me I was lucky. I won't comment on my thoughts to that. Anyway, I like the reception on XM, its just that its not as loud as my FM reception. So, now I'm upgrading to HOG tunes speakers to get a little more volume. I'll let you know how it works out, Oh, all that I've been referring to has been done to a 06 street glide, not a CVO. (Isn't that right, Ernie, JC....) Arg, Arg, Arg....

While I haven't got lots of time with my XM, I've got now 500 miles with it.  I can't say I'm impressed.  I lose it on I-40 when ever a truck passes me.  I don't find the programming to be anything special.  And paying for it certainly won't help the situation.  I activated mine late, just so I could use it for the ride to Cripple Creek to truly try it on a road trip.  I may just stick with the MP3 and FM.  Just my 2cents.
