We got rear ended hard last summer while pulling a Bushtec and it probably saved our lives. The trailer was destroyed, but took most of the energy from the impact. I can't say enough about the engineering and quality of the Bustec trailer and hitches.  Doc

They are just so big, you could take enough stuff to live on the road forever.  Or even live in one  ;)

This appears to be similar to an N-Line but smaller. Who makes it?

It's made by UNI-GO  here's a link that had better pictures of the trailer

As Bubba said it is a Uni-Go.  They were originally made in switzerland but now also made in the US.  This is a link to the US manufacturer, all dealers have to buy through them.  I bought directly from them because they are slow to deliver.

http://www.uni-go.com/

It weighs 70lbs empty & when we had it packed to the top for 16 days it only weighed 135 lbs.  What I like about it is the single wheel.  You do not know it is behind the bike & your riding style does not need to change in the twisties, it just follows perfectly.  For up to 2008 they have their own hitch for the bike, kinda ugly but works very well.  Fro the new frame, 09 up they recommend using the N-Line hitch.

Here is our favorite part about this trailer.  We treat it just like a rolling suitcase when we arrive at a hotel.  We do get some looks & questions.

I looked at one and got info in Sturgis 06 and I could swear that a video I downloaded said they were made in New Zealand? Maybe that was a supplier and I assumed that they made them there? I had the video on my pc for ever but can't find it now. Will have to look on my home pc since I am at work now on the company laptop. I treid to get my BSR to see if she could fit inside the trailer but she wouldn't do it! lol   :2vrolijk_21:

Funny, I always kid Trudy that if we have a fight she will have to ride in the trailer.  She has sat in it as a joke but I never had the camera to get a picture of her doing it.

It may have been New Zeland originally.  I have a friend that waited forever to get one imported.  The trouble with it is that it uses an odd size tire & wheel, and an axel & bearings that aren't available here.  The one I have is all Amreican, it uses a Metzler Scooter style tire so it is easily replaceable.

I currently pull a Motovation Engineering Trailer, but have had Bushtecs and California side car ones as well.

After what Doc went through getting rear ended and the way the Bushtecs hitch pin hook up kept the car off them I am going back to Bushtec.  They pull great look great and weigh nothing.

Are you a towing a 2200 pound trailer, if not what did your trailer weigh? Am I reading this correctly or did you calculate the total weight of everything, bike, gear, people and trailer?

He's probably including the weight of the bike in that number. No?
